Looking to Upgrade to Freedom Express 248 RBS

I purchased a Coachmen Clipper 17FQS back in May, and it's a nice little trailer. I have some issues with it, which are making me consider trading it in. The 400lbs cargo carrying capacity, the inability to access the fridge and bathroom with the slide closed, and the lack of a couch for rainy days are the biggest issues.

The wife and I purchased the trailer to tow behind our Jeep Cherokee, which was a bad choice. The cargo capacity, tongue weight and overall weight were within the specs, but the frontage was not. The short wheelbase and small tow vehicle made it uncomfortable.

We traded the "Cheep" in on a Ram Rebel, and are considering a Freedom Express 248RBS. Our current RV dealer is awesome, and wants the Clipper back on trade for very close to what we paid for it. The dealer carries the Clipper, Freedom Express, Shasta and Salem lines. They recommended the Freedom Express 248RBS, and looking at the floor plan, it looks perfect. The tongue weight fully loaded is over my cargo capacity and rear axle rating based on all the info, until I add in a proper weight distributing hitch. Then it is well within specs.

I won't be able to put much in the back of the truck, but that's not an issue: we buy firewood at the parks, or just outside, and we load up the trailer before we leave rather than cramming everything in the truck. We tend to do a lot of shorter duration trips (6 weekends this summer, which as a shift worker that works 2 out of 4 weekends isn't bad)

We are going to be doing some longer duration trips, and traveling considerably further than the 2 hours that we limited ourselves to this summer.

Do you think this is a good choice of trailer? Does anyone have one? and is it possible to access the bathroom and fridge with the slide closed?
