Loose jack leg

while getting ready to unload our Lance 881 ....jacking the unit up noticed that the entire unit slipped backwards 6" . Stopped unloading an gently lowered the unit back on the truck....After some careful looking we discovered the bolt holding the front driver side jack were stripped out inside the unit. We raised the unit an reattached the tie downs. Next day while still on the truck we loosened all the bolts on the jack an using a gain jack reestablished the jack in its proper place , vertical , an with a little assistance from homedepot reinstalled the jack with new nuts to repair the stripped out bolts. What started out as an accident looking for a place to happen. Turned out to be a relative easy fix. Upon checking all the other jack bolts found all were tight an solid. Granted this unit has been on an off the truck a lot ...we've been living in it for the last two years...an we've had to move every two weeks ,state park rules you know. Hopefully We are in the process of Finding a house . We'll still live in the unit during the school year helping our son with our grand children.
  • I'm glad you found it when you did and have it repaired... it would have been a mess if it was off the truck and failed with the both of you in it.

Good luck on the house hunt.
