Lots of Truck Campers

If it is more than normal, my speculation is hunting season using RVs. :)

And I'm thinking on getting a TC for my 2012 Tundra. Still searching until I can find the ONE.

We just got back from a month in Colorado.
I also noticed a lot of truck campers in the state.

Just got back from camping in Taos, NM. Where we were, there were 2 other couples nearby in TCs froom OK and TX in Bigfoot and a Lance. Saw several more on trip back home. I like to start camping in the fall when tourist season is over anyhow.

I don't think that is it. I saw a lot of TCs out in Taylor Park last week as well. As mentioned, probably because all the hunters are out in force and there are times you need something smaller to get into tighter places but not like Berthod Pass. Heck, I just hauled my 30ft TT (using a longbed CC 1 ton) over Cottonwood Pass and it is not an issue and there are plenty of hairpin turns and narrow sections of that pass.

I would love to have a TC to get into tighter places and should have one some day. I enjoy reading this forum because in a couple of years, I will be ready to buy a TC and want to have as much knowledge on them before jumping in.

We went the Mother Earth News convention this past weekend here in Western PA. Well whereas most of the time, we are the only TC in an entire weekend of camping... There were 10 TC's in the same campground with us. I am still speechless.

I think it's funny when someone from the East posts: "I passed a blue truck with Lance camper on hwy such-and-such. Was that you?"

Where I am theres TC stored on every block or so, and I pass 20+ of them coming back from a camping weekend. :D

On my 5k mile trip from CA to IA and back on two different routes I saw more TCs in CO than all other states combined. Build a mountain the TCs will come.

lol,true. Three on my street alone.

When I took a Cross Country trip back in 2012, Once I got past Wyoming, I noticed that there were hardly any Truck Campers, There were Motorhomes, Travel Trailers, and Fifth Wheels, but only a few Truck Campers, on my way back to California it was the same until I hit Montana, then there were all kinds of Truck Campers all the way back to California, I went through Idaho, Washington and Oregon back home. I don't know why it was like that.
