Maxxis Bravo 771 tire
A few months ago I began researching new tires to buy next spring after paying off Christmas bills. Due to running over debris and severely damaging 2 tires I was forced into getting tires well ahead of schedule and available funds. As a result I had to get the first ones available at a good price. The Maxxis Bravo 771 size 285/70 r17 ended up being that tire I got. I was not able to find any real reviews or opinions so I figured I would post my impression of them.
They have a fairly aggressive pattern for an all terrain with ery deep tread depth. On road they behave and respond in a predictable and responsive manner with minimal noise. Driving in the rain as I often do in Seattle they have performed way better than expected with great stopping and handling in deep water filled ruts. During a recent trip across Snoqualmie pass and to Paradise at Mt . Rainier in snow covered roads I was able to use two wheel drive for most of the time until the snow got pretty deep. I have yet to try them in mud but feel they would do well for an all terrain.
Overall I would say I stumbled into an impressive tire and at this point would buy them all over again when the time comes.
