Medicine cabinet

Hello friends,

My new Jayco 285 RLS SLX, which I don't get for a month (aww!) doesn't have a medicine cabinet in the bathroom, only a mirror attached to the wall.

Not a big deal for just one person (me), but I was wondering, has anyone replaced a mirror with a medicine cabinet? Easy enough to you? Where to get one? Any tips?

thanks!

Kevin

Not sure I've ever seen a recessed mounted medicine cabinet in an RV. Surface mounts styles are a dime a dozen anywhere like Home Depot/Lowes or the internets.

My medicine cabinet is wall mounted from the factory and uses the exterior wall for the back of it. It has a mirror and two shelves. Works just fine, no need to be recessed into the wall.

You are going to have a tough time putting a cabinet in a wall that doesn't have an opening already framed in it. It may be possible to mount it to the wall but that would depend on where you want it and where the wall studs (if any) are located.
Good point.

Id agree with Tracker. I have no problem building a cabinet but for $45 its not worth my time and supplys. It is made out of MDF bit so is the rest of my TT cabinets. Make sure your screws when you install a cabinet are not to long. Im guessing around 1/34 with washers into the studs should be safe. You may need to add a extra magnet if door doesn't stay closed when traveling..

Personally I would go with a surface mount and not a recessed mount
