Meguiar's Ultimate Paste Wax or Turtle Wax Ice??

Hey guys, long story short, my detail guy has given me the option of which wax I want to use on my 2015 Forest River Evo2700 and I have spent a few hours researching and the 2 in the title are both contenders that I've narrowed it down to. I know I want a paste wax and I want to stay away from carnuba because the Arizona desert just breaks carnuba down too quickly. Has anybody had any experience with either of these on their aluminum sided trailer? Thanks
  • Thanks for all the input. Basically what happened is the defIled charged me an additional $190 to wax the trailer and used speed wax, one microfiber cloth and spent about 20mins doing it so I told him that was unacceptable
  • use nufinsh it will last longer then any other wax or polish out there.
You need a polish not a wax .Wax breaks down.
    This is what I do
wash your trailer with awesome(this will make it easier to deoxidation)
meguiars power cut compound #M91(for deoxidation)(orange pad)
nu-finsh(white pad)after the first app I put a second one on 2-3 week after
I use a portal cable DA polisher with lake country pads
my trailer will shine for about a year
  • I go back and forth with Meguiar's and Mother's and have found both to be good products. In particular it works on that hard-to-get spot on the front of the nose cone where the bugs have their conventions.
  • Have used McGuires RV/Marine stuff with good results, but in truth I like Collinite Fleetwax better.
  • Of the two, I'd go with the Meguiar's. If it we me and had a new unit with the paint in good shape, I'd use a new spray on wipe off product that had UV protection in it.

Yes, I use Meguiar's Marine wax. Great stuff and the wax job will usually last for a year. Really protects the paint, decals and helps keep the bugs on the front of the trailer.
