We have a Lance 1475. Based on the position of roof items thatโ€™s a 1575.

The lumber is probably firewood. I do the same thing. The local carpenter gives me all of his scrap wood and I burn it at the park.

Your not supposed to bring in outside firewood. its against the rules!

First, I almost always camp close to home. Second, if the bugs are in new lumber being used in home construction they are everywhere by now anyway. That stuff is trucked all over the country. Third, I think (but am not completely certain) that board lumber is treated in some way. If it wasn't the bugs would everywhere by now.

Maybe someone here knows about this and can help us out.

If itโ€™s โ€œwhite woodโ€, usually spruce, it has been kiln dried and that kills most organisms. No other treatment. The only treated lumber is usually pressure treated and you should not burn that as it is poisonous.

Right that is what I meant. I never burn the pressure treated, or any other sort of treated scraps. Same way with anything that is painted or varnished.

He doesn't give me much of that anyway but, when he does I am stuck taking it to my local landfill. No problem, About once a year I get enough stuff built up that is not recyclable that I have to take a pickup load to the landfill anyway. Cost me about 10-15 bucks.

Well the one campground we go to says no construction lumber! (Scrap 2X4โ€™s).

I agree. I bring firewood with except on long week or 2 road trips.

I bet they sell firewood at that campground and don't want anyone to cut into their profit.

Bingo. But according to some people there is no profit in firewood!

I actually think they were just tired and instead of pulling into the rest stop just decided to roll over for a quick nap.
