Took this off my father-in-law's hands a few weekends ago. He towed it around with his 2.0L Toyota Camry...without issues.
Gutted it to find any issues, and will rebuild it (within reason) to be used by us and then handed over to my kids when they get started out.

From the nameplate: B&B Trailers LTD, England, Model: Delta.../E
17 feet overall. Haven't weight it yet, but I can push it around with one hand on the corner of it.
The exterior is tin...lol. Amazingly enough, there is no corrosion showing on any of it. Will strip off the current paint scheme and dazzle it with some other colours....wife likes the Ford Superduty "Caribou Brown" hue....might look pretty good.
Still a bit of a mystery though....any ideas as to it's ID would be greatly appreciated.

Plan on making a north/south bed at the front up to the wheel wells.
Over one of the wells will be the fridge, and on the opposite side will be a sink/worktop.
Along the back I'll build a wall to enclose the porta-potti room using a sliding door.

What about a twin size bed/bench on each side wall at the front with a table that can drop down to make a large bed? Or even a u shaped dinnette?

A real caravan - super cool! Love the dutch door.

Go watch some Top Gear episodes to get ideas of what can be done with a British caravan. Think trains, aviation, boating, track racing, speed records, off-roading and much more. 🙂

Good point on the paint. Just scrape off the loose bits, fill/sand and go right over it....I like it!!

Yes, that is the furnace in the middle of the floor...would hate to stumble onto it with bare feet in the middle of the night when it's pumping out heat...ouch. It will be removed once I put the trailer up on jack stands....not too much clearance under there for a fella' like me 🙂

Sweet old wagon.

You don't need to strip the paint to repaint it. In fact, I definitely wouldn't. The primer on there is in a good state and may be formulated for the metal and treatment involved.

Thought about a dinette, but just can't seem to squeeze one in.
We almost always eat outside anyways.

After tenting for a couple summers DW says a comfy bed and a place to go pee in the middle of the night are top priority, and anything else is gravy.

The trailer has an "add-a-room" that attaches to it which effectively doubles the width of it. Believe it or not, the canvas on it is still in perfect condition...so.....if its raining out we will just eat/sit in the add-a-room.

It has more windows than many TT today! Is that a furnace vent in the floor?

You mention bed and bath, but no dinette? Sit on the edge of the bed to eat? Guests sit on the john? 😄

Have fun with the design and build! Should be fun to do, and enjoyable to camp in.

Yeah, it gets the creative juices flowing.

Going to involve my sons in the process. One of them just decided to change his life path and go into a trade....still unsure of which one though. This will be a good chance to try a little carpentry, electrical, and plumbing.

Going to 'beef up' the structure in spots by using 1X2's...lol. 1X1 all around as it sits.
