Mildew on popup tent insides
Just passing this along for others with the same problem - our new-to-us popup TC was heavily mildewed on the tent portion from being folded down while damp with condensation (it also doesn't have a vent fan, which I will solve with a new Fantastic Fan).
I bought a spray bottle of "X-14 Mildew Stain Remover" (made by the WD-40 folks). I've used this stuff for years on our boat interiors - you simply spray it on and walk away. It works better than anything else I've ever tried. No scrubbing; the bottle says to rinse, but IMO you only have to rinse surfaces your clothes might touch, like boat seats which I would wipe off with a wet towel. Stubborn spots? Spray it again - if it's mold, it will disappear.
Caveat: it smells strongly of chlorine - don't wear your nice clothes when applying; and protect fabrics (some will fade, some won't). Ventilate as much as possible - my "attack" was to spray-a-section-and-run. My camper tent parts went from dingy gray/black-mottled, to bright white. It looks like new again!
