You're right, nobody makes a bad vehicle anymore; they can't afford to, the market is just to competitive with lots of good choices out there.
I'm really impressed with my new 2500 CTD as the fit and finish and overall build quality is outstanding IMO. Hope it's as trouble-free as the old Tundra was.
7800 miles on the CTD so far and zero issues. - jerem0621Explorer IIMakes me feel a little better about the 150k mile Tundra I was looking at :B
- Camper_GExplorerCool stuff. Just goes to show you, again, if you take good care of your equipment, maintain it will and don't beat it into the ground, it can go a long time.
Truthfully, in this day and age, i think with proper maintenance, anything out there can go 250k with no problem.
I remember in my younger days, vehicles with 100k were totally shot. Falling apart and ready for the scrapper. At least most of them. - RobertRyanExplorerVolvo Sedans make the others look weak. 3 million miles ;)
3 million mile Volvo Sedan - RobertRyanExplorerToyota Hilux. had done 745,000 miles before being traded in.

Million mile dodge - Ron3rdExplorer IIILoved my 2007 5.7 Tundra! I could see one going a million miles with good maintenance. I had my Tundra almost 9 years but only put 106,000 miles on it in that time frame.

The guy made 117 trips to the dealer for service in 9 years. That's more than one a month.
You are making that sound a little misleading... the exact quote is;he's had it serviced regularly along the way, bringing it in to the dealership in his home town a whopping 117 times over the past nine years
That sounds like routine maintenance, going roughly every 8500 miles.
Pretty cool, and the truck looks like its in decent shape too. That many miles and a FREE replacement is pretty cool! Talk about getting your value out of the truck. Owned it for 9 years, put a million miles on it and traded it in at full purchase price!!!
