For now anyways...Plan is to get a smaller older one down the road that I can take on fishing/boating trips without the Wife.Ultimately our Adventurer 910db was just not fun to drive when on bad roads, windy, etc. and also had reservations about towing the boat too. It was an awesome camper, well built, loved it. But trying to make enough space for the wife and bring a boat is just too much for my SRW, even with a ton of mods (see sig). I'm much too loyal to my old 7.3 so she stays, camper goes! Luckily I bought it sightly used at a good price and just sold it a year later for only $1500 less, not terrible.Thanks for all of the info and advice on these forums. I am going back to a TC. After a TT and now a toy hauler I want to get back to being able to get away from the crowd and get back in to the good camp spots.I have already owned and sold a Lance and an Alpinlite TX.

Did you build your TC shelter large enough for a TT?

Why not make the truck a dually? Some spacers, 2 wheels and tires, and some fender flares are all you need.

Why not make the truck a dually? Some spacers, 2 wheels and tires, and some fender flares are all you need.

I drive a dually everyday at work, love my SRW for a personal rig. At the end of the day my Wife has been a trooper with TC's, but she wants more space. I'll get a small TC down the road and get the best of both worlds. She also pulled the "You got a new boat, I want more space card on me".:B

How are you going to bring the boat if you are towing a travel trailer? I see almost no difference if you keep the camper and tow the boat with another vehicle or you tow a travel trailer with your truck and tow the boat with another vehicle. Apart from more space in the travel trailer than the truck camper; how does the boat fit into your need to off the camper? Why not just get a dually truck and you can still keep the camper, tow the boat, and not need to throw up in your mouth? And, yea, you will be back. Taking two vehicles to also tow your boat gets real old, real fast.

Not going to take the boat camping. We haven't in a year or more. The amount of space in the TT we just bought is what my Wife wants, and I like it too. We camp 12 months a year and we (she) will be very comfortable now and want to go even more, love getting out of the house, especially in the NW winters. We live 2 minutes from our yacht club with a private dock and boat launch which we also use 12 months a year crabbing and fishing the Puget Sound. This is just a separation of the boat and the camper which we rarely used together and was the original plan, didn't pan out. Like I said, i will probably get an older 8' camper for man trips to the Ocean or Stait of Juan De Fuca fishing, but the Wife is done with campers, i'm not. This is going to work well for us.

Here we go, got the O.R.V. Timber Ridge 24RKS with the off road package with 16" E's and upgraded suspenion/shocks. Did a TON of research and knew what we wanted. 2" walls throughout. Got the price I wanted today so purchased it, pick up next Friday. O.R.V. is one of the best built rigs out there and are local. Their website with build videos shows the quality they use. It's a Ron Nash company separate from Arctic Fox, same mothership. If anyone ever even thinks of getting a TT, look at these guys. http://outdoorsrvmfg.com/
