We brought a new CR26rb sunset trail TT 3 weeks ago and went 3 differ camping trips. each time we went, something breaks. I said to my wife "I thought this crossroad is one of the best campers on the market" and she said" not anymore!" I use to own a Snowriver TC for 10 years and only had 3 problems. this new one had 15 problems in 3 weeks. whoa,,,, anyway I'm sending it to the shop this Friday and hope they fix it and check the rest of the TT before I pick it up for the next trip. I be camping till the first snow storm hits. does anyone here had this problem? I'm sure some do!oh well....

What a bummer that is ! They don't make them like they used to. I remember when we bought our first TT twelve years ago. It was a Pioneer 19T and at the time, everyone here on the RV Net used to say it was a low end trailer. My wife and I could never figure that out, since we never had a problem with it. Then we wanted one a little longer with a sofa in it, so with out trying any others we searched all over the country for another Pioneer, and found one of the last ones made before they went out of business. That one is just as good as the old one the only problem which was fixed free was a cracked Thedford toilet valve. (the dealer evidently didn't winterize it) I hope you get your new TT straightened out and you have many happy years with itJack L

It is reasonable to expect a few things to need adjustment and/or repair. Often, the problems are the dealer failed to thoroughly and correctly check things out. What are the specific problems?

I hope you get it back before the last snow falls.

A list of problems would help to evaluate whether these are small or big issues. Then again, 15 separate issues in 3 weeks is not good no matter how you slice it. We hear about "lemons" manufactured from time to time, but I just don't understand how really bad clunkers can come off the assembly line like this. Sure, some are going to be built better than others, but quality control should identify major problems.

Yes!

Sorry for your problems mdw60. I wouldn't let this one bad TT experience completely taint all TTs. However, I do completely understand your desire to have your TC back as I would love to also have a TC for the mountains here. At least I could keep a TC on my property and not have to store it like our TT. So, maybe I will end up with both. :)

....this is part of why I fix these things myself. I can do it right, and do it in a timely manner. They can stuff their "warranty".

Same here, I bought a new TT about a month ago and it had several things going on. Made all the repairs myself except for the coax/TV issues...and that I could have done also. Took it to the dealer at 9am and they called me at noon to say it was ready and there was no charge.

Making all the repairs myself helped me learn how it was built. Actually pretty simple how they are put together.

Not sure I would let my dealer keep my rig for an extended period, especially wouldnt let them make me miss a trip.

This - don't rely on the dealer, as you aren't their priority post-sale. You also might want to contact the Better Business Bureau as well.

at this point you need to contact Crossroads and see if the parts are really on order....do not trust the dealers statement. Crossroads was known for top customer service....then they sold to Thor.

Not true. The only way the warranty would be voided is if you cause damage. Then it would only be voided for the one thing damaged.

You might want to read up on the federal Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act.

Been there done that...on new TT spent more time the first year at the shop than in our driveway...didn't help that every time we picked up from the shop, they had damaged something else..

You should be able to pick up your trailer at any time and wait for parts to arrive. Reschedule the service.

If you're new to TT service and maintenance, now would be the time to understand what's involved and learn to do some of it yourself, instead of relying on the selling dealer. If you're unable to do any repairs or maintenance, look for help from mobile technicians in your area that specialize in RV work.
