Right now they are small, but I can see the dinette being an issue in the future (although a tent can remedy this if needed). That 850 looks nice if the dinette is longer. I'll take a tape next time I'm at the dealer and measure.
The downside, is the 850 is not only 300lbs heavier, but also around $8~10k MSRP more expensive. I know Eagle Cap is the cream of ARP's crop, but in your opinion how much better is the build between Eagle Cap and Adventurer lines?
If I could find a used version of the limited Adventurer model that had bunks in the slide, it may solve my bunk accommodations, but I would give up floor space.
We have owned both Adventurer 810WS and now the EC 850. Both are quality units. The EC is higher end...but I would not hesitate to buy another Adv if it fit our needs. (I like the one with the recliners!)
FWIW; I have slept 5 Adults in our EC850 (2 +2+ 1 on floor). Not ideal...but it works!
(We had 5 adults in the camper as weather was bad...)
We do however, often travel with 2 adults and 3 teen age Boys (our Son + 2 friends)+ 70# lab. The Boys sleep in a tent. They do end up inside for meals, and there is plenty of room.
If I were looking to put 5 inside a TC on a regular basis, I would look for that Adv model with the bunkbeds or some other large TC with the foldout tent bed and large dinette.
