Mystery Loop Back Cable - What is it?

Hi, I found this mysterious loopback cable/jack plate in the cubby with my TV Antenna connection. There are no labels on the connectors, so I have no idea what they are. There are 2 female RG6 connectors on a single jack plate with a cable looped back to both of them. I thought that it might be Sat or Cable in, but if that was the case, why would it be looped back? This is on my new 2018 Jayco 25BH. Any help would be appreciated. -Mark

    Just a guess, but it could feed another outlet. That way, they avoid installing a splitter that may not be compatable with the signal that you put on that cable. ie: off air, cable, or sat.

    One side is from the park cable "in" on the outside of your TT. The other side is to the stuff in the trailer (antenna booster and TV). If you want to hook a dish to the outside, remove the loop and hook the dish or directv box.

    I think this may be correct, it is cheaper than adding another piece of coax to the outside for satellite.

    My guess:

    Coax in from outside. With loop back cable in place, it runs directly to the television for watching campground provided cable. Take the loop back cable out, you can connect your satellite receiver to the satellite antenna, then run your satellite receiver output coax back to the plate and run it to the television. One coax from outside does double duty as satellite input/cable input.

    Wow! Great information from everyone. I would have never figured this out by myself. All I need to do now is hook things up and label the A & B connectors properly like Jayco should have done in the first place. Thanks for the great information and feedback to my post. -Mark
