narrowing down our TT manufacturer and models

I can only tell you about Heartland. We've had three of their products and have been satisfied with them all. I'm sure others with chime in soon.

We had a 2007 Crossroads Sunset trail and generally speaking it was a pretty well built camper. The cabinetry inside was leaps and bounds better than our current Skyline/Evergreen.

If you do go American...Call RV Inspection Specialists for your Pre-Delivery Inspection and walk through.
And by all means Do Not Shop Price!! Find a Dealer with the Highest Customer Service ratings in regards to their Service Department.
