Need affirmation

Okay.... So it is my first major trip with the new TT after having my previous one for 20 years and the one before that for 20 years. Yeah, forty years of RVing and this is only my third one, but I'm still on only my second TV.... Anyway, a lot has changed on these new ones and I need some affirmation that I'm getting it right. TIRE PRESSURE: the sidewall says 65lbs and the side of the camper says 65lbs. Is that right??? Seems like an awful lot to me. Next, TV says 35lbs. That is 35lbs and then hitch up, right??? Yes I have all the WDH and anti sway bars down pat.... That's just simple physics.

Slide outs, elec awning, power jacks, ac/heat, thermostats, hot water tanks, circulating fans, all sorts of alarms and indicators, wi/fi, blue tooth, a recharging station, even a back up camera! Hell its common sense to me that if there's something behind ya don't back up! If there ain't nothin there then what the hell do you need the camera for? DW says stop long before that stupid thing starts beepin anyway. The only thing it doesn't have is a depth sounder and sonar for crying out loud! The people who came up with all this******have too much time on their hands!!! All I wanna do is grill a steak and read a good book dagnabbit! :h

Where did you get and how much did it cost for the laser surround mosquito shield? Now that's a mod I'd be interested in! But seriously dude, you've got to be regretting putting the whole bidet thing out there for everyone to see... LOL

I got mine with the folding IMAX theater display/awning, the laser-surround mosquito shield, 15-camera YOUTUBE capture hemisphere, and the Aquasonic 12-jet high-pressure Bidet. Stand back.

If you didn't get all this, you might want to ask your dealer.

P255/75 R15 Michelins on a 2001 Chevy Express 1500 Passemger Van. My apologies, that would have been very helpful information for me to have given in the beginning. We're traveling light this trip with just DW, myself, our 8lb k9', two bicycles in the van. The TT is a 26ft Keystone Passpprt Elite ultra lite fully loaded and weighing in at 5200lbs. Actual weight according to the scales at our local garbage dump which weighs trailers as a public service. Everyone is being so helpful. I get way more info here than at the tire store.

I digress so easily..... P255/75 R15 what do I set the rear tire pressure at? I've always used 35psi but I'm looking for the optimum.

I am guessing the OE put Passenger tires on it. What letter(s) does your tire size start with??
For example,
P255/75 R17 is primarily a passenger care tire designed for minimal towing.
LT255/75 R17 is a Light Truck tire,
It is designed with higher loading in mind. The load range on a LT rated tire will take it a step further by putting a the tire in another tier for load rating. ie.. load range E is good for 85 psi.

You need to air the back tires to the max rated on the sidewall of the tire. Do not exceed this rating.

For your TV I would suggest higher than 35. Likely max on the tire sidewall would be good while towing since you have a load on the truck

X2 - I'd definitely air up the rear tires on your van. The 35 is recommended for comfort and handling with an average load.

What...are you telling me that you don't have a remote temperature sensor so that you can grill that steak to perfection with your smart phone???

I run mine at 65 psi cold. Sounds like you have it right.
