It does look heavy. Purdy, though. As above: figgedaboutit. It needs a 350 or 3500, long bed. Keep looking, or get another truck that could handle that load. There is a high percentage of folks on here who have further improved their weight carrying capability just to handle the truck camper.
You do need a TC that is specifically made for a short bed truck. The unfortunate fact is there many fewer campers made for a SB. Further, a 2500 SB, even HD, has fewer campers that can be carried without some suspension modifications. Look at the GVWR listed on the door pillar or in the glove box. I suspect it's 8800 pounds or up to 9200 pounds, which limits the amount of weight you can carry (usually because of the limit on the stock tires).
