I don't totally disagree and I very much respect your view. I was very against a TV while camping until we took a big trip out west in the days before easy Internet access. I got a TV to check weather reports on the trip.
Since then what I really like about having one is to watch movies at night before going to sleep. Something I really don't get to do at home much. It's also been handy when it's too wet out to do anything outside.
