My skin is thick enough. The reason politics should be avoided is so guys don't counter attack and cause rancor and bitterness on the forum. Believe me, I could set off on the guys I chided and start quite a brouhaha. We don't need that, do we? That's why many hobbyist forums forbid political discussion--it gets in the way. Understand?

No, I don't understand. No one is feeling bitter but you. Stating that one ethos is harder on emissions than the other certainly isn't very political. It's just the fact of the matter. Something as simple as that getting under your skin = people (you) should have a thicker skin. Everyone else seemed fine.

Mentioning the current admin and EPA certainly is political. EVERYTHING they do is political......

All I did was make a simple statement of the facts, in 16 months we will have a new administration and new cabinet heads. None of us know who it will be or even what party they will belong to. But they will be different. Whether they will continue with the same policies is also unknown, but certainly some changes will be made.

So no one can say that in 2019 policy X will go into effect. In our political system no one can make that prediction with certainty.
You keep making the other guys point. lol

They need to reverse that "Super Duty" stamped in the hood so folks can read it in the rear view mirror. Maybe using chrome letters would add some more bling to that front end.

Not sure if 7 cameras is enough??? If that sells trucks then guess I'm out of the target market.
I'll probably never get one now. Ben driving F series company trucks for 20 years now and my company won't buy Fords anymore due to the aluminum bodies. Heavy construction means we spend a fair amount on bodywork. Why double that cost?
All the new trucks are reliable and wil pull a house with the diesel, so just the skin alone made it a no go for a company that buys about 1500 pickups a year.
And why change the trans behind the 6.2 if not adding gears? Those are solid transmissions they work great and hold up well too.

I wonder if the new bed-tailgate will clear a trailer tongue jack. That was the best feature of my new 2015 SD. I could drop my tailgate without hitting the TJ which I could not on my 2011 F150 . On my work trailer I had to remove the jack as I needed bed access all the time. It was a major pain on the TT trying to load up a 110 lb German Shepherd into the bed without damaging the tailgate or hurting the dog.

Another concern for me in the 2017 is the 6.2 gets a new transmission, while the rest keep the monster 6R140. The HD tranny was the reason I upgraded to a Super duty when I bought a larger TT.

Has Ford fixed the door alignment issue and warping dashes the aluminum F150 folks are reporting on that cab?

I like the truck, but I would not be a test dummy on a Ford product as I have seen how they handle some warranty issues.

Just read about the camera systems available on these.

Seen way too many folks who use truck campers, me included, struggle with finding back up camera systems to replace the factory one's lost when the tailgate was removed to use the truck camper.

These new camera systems show great promise for us truck camper folks. I like indeed!

I am just starting a project to mount a RAM OEM camera on the back of my 5 th wheel V-Box when the tailgate is removed. Found the camera and harness for 175 bucks online. I will start a thread in the 5th wheel section in a week or two. Chris

I can't say anything real nice about the looks of the thing so I'll be silent there. I'm sure it's a big improvement in terms of the chassis. The current generation super duties felt at least two generations behind in that regard.

I wonder if the new 12 pin trailer socket will become an industry standard?
Apparently some of the extra pins are for connecting a trailer rear view camera.
