New Host Mammolth

Well, I did it. Traded my 2014 Lance 1172 for a 2018 Host Mammoth with a pecan interior.
Boardman RV, in Pueblo, Colorado just became a Host dealer. He made a deal with the factory to get a 2018 Mammoth shipped to him this month instead of the regular waiting period. So yesterday drove down with my 1172 and worked out a deal for the new Host. Pick it up this Friday.

Have to say, I really enjoyed the Lance, awesome camper with tons of amenities. Just could not believe the space of the Host with 3 slides. The Pecan interior is very cool, light and inviting and the storage is really exceptional. Love that 7' slide out tray in the back of the unit.
Well, gotta head to the bank. HA. My kids inheritance is gone.
Pics to follow
  • The kids can make take over the TC and Truck. :) Congratulations, and can't wait for the pics!
  • Congrats to you. Your going to love it! ENJOY!!
  • Seems funny that people are getting bigger campers with the kids gone, you think it would be the other way around, atleast it was for me.

Enjoy all that room! And the quiet!

Can you imagine a tent option with the 3 slides, now that would be awesome!
  • Congratulations! That is the nicest TC I have ever seen.Kent Boardman and his staff are top notch also!
  • Congrats! Isn't there a truck camper rally this year in Colorado? Maybe it's a Lance thing, not sure. Go anyway, you'll be the hit of the party.
  • In 2015, there was large rally in Colorado Springs we attended. I didn't see one this year. 2016, there was a big rally in Fairmont, MN which we also attended. Albuquerque in October for us this year...
  • I was wrong but knew something was happening in Co. Truck Camper Magazine has a listing of shows and gatherings in the last edition. This weekend a dealership in Poncho Springs Co is having an open house. Warning....they are not a Host dealership...keep driving but slow down.
Seriously though, the lance group does get out. They're up towards you in Oregon in late July. I still think we should rally somewhere down Highway 395 in the Mammoth area one of these days.

Lots of people move to a class A as they get older. THey want more room to relax and store their growing accumulation of essential stuff, they want a comfy couch or recliner instead of having to sit at the dinette all the time. A triple slide TC provides some of those amenities, yet lets them keep the go anywhere, versatile, easy to park truck camper.

    Congrats on your new rig!
