If you can always spot them in the shop, then that must mean you and your truck must spend a lot of time in a shop. :W
There's a guy I know at work and his 6.4PSD has over 300k miles. Transmission was replaced at 250k miles with the factory transmission oil in it and he replaced a idler pulley. That's it for the drive train.
As for the Lion diesel platform the original 6.7PSD internal team did not design this engine, but some of these same engineers performed the redesign to get the engine up the F150 truck standard.
