IMHO: it's overgeared. I don't spend much time running 6th gear and reverse is too tall. I find myself slipping the clutch more than I like when backing up with a trailer on.
I have thought about putting a set of 4.11's in it.
My bus has 5.29's behind an Allison 6 speed auto. That would suit me perfectly except it had 6th gear locked out at the factory. I am working on getting 6th unlocked. Then it will be sweet.

Vehicles vary too, and you're comparing apples to oranges. You also drive too slow if you don't see 6th gear much in your 3rd Gen!
Agree reverse is too tall in the 5600 and G56 though.
