New Travel Lite has short in running lights
This really stinks...I'm glad that a warranty will cover this but I bought new so I wouldn't be inconvenienced right off the bat with problems. When I picked the camper up last month all the lights worked (LED). By the time I got home the running lights didn't work and had blown that fuse on the trailer circuit on the truck. Brake, turn, and reverse still work. I verified it is a problem with the TC. I can hook up to my trailer and it's fine. Fuse blows the instant I turn the lights on when the TC is plugged in. I've inspected the wiring that I can access, and checked the plug on the TC, the harness to the truck, and the two rear lights. I'm not going in to it any further and will take it in Saturday. I'm nervous because I can see there's a bunch of putty and some butyl caulk/tape that seal all the lights. I'm worried this fix will introduce a leak or something down the road.
Oh well, I hope the short is easily found. Sucks that someone didn't take the time during assembly to protect the wire as I suspect it got pinched somewhere.
