New Travel Lite has short in running lights

In case anyone wanted an update, the problem is fixed. It was a short in the wiring at one of the top marker lights. It was caused by the installer who screwed the light in to the wire which pinched some of the insulation off and it eventually rubbed on a grounded surface. He began by rechecking what I had checked and then checked the tail/brake lights and the license plate light (which was wired to the brake light circuit instead of the running light circuit). After that it was just like checking a Christmas tree light string....start at the end and go one by one. Fortunately he found it on the second try. Hopefully he got it all sealed up as good as or better than from the factory.

I will say the only other complaint I have about the Travel Lite campers, speaking for the model I have 890SBRX anyway, is the front lower pass through window. It opens up in reverse of what it should. In other words, it opens up so the screen opening is to the side of the middle of the truck's rear window. Doesn't make sense and it renders opening that window as a useless feature. If it was rotated 180 degrees it would be a nice pass through to the back seat of the cab. I've asked the dealer to look at it and see if it could easily be changed around. It's funny how I look at the Travel Lite and see so many features and some well thought out attention to detail about layout and such, and then something like this slips right by them...
Otherwise I'm still pretty darn happy with it. Heading out for a long Labor day weekend to Damascus, VA to ride the VA Creep Trail.

LOL, don't worry about it. We can't all remember or see every little detail all the time. I appreciate the advice. Not sure where else to turn, other than to hand it over to the dealer. At least it is only about an hour away.

As for the junction box, that's the problem....I can't seem to access anything at all. The wiring seems to be behind the walls with no panels. The plug comes up behind the fridge. I just feel like this is going to be a mess and the whole interior is going to be removed just to find a little short in one wire. Just venting I guess.

I've had the wires come loose from the screw on the camper 7 pin plug numerous times. If you haven't looked there first, take a peek.

Subscribed, mine blows that fuse once in a while also.

there is a junction box find it more than likely the wirenut is ooose and laying accross a ground.it could also be a bad pigtail

Welcome to the reality of buying a new RV and hoping that everything will be perfect. If this is the only "inconvenient" problem that you have, you can feel lucky and ahead of the norm.
