New truck

Picked up my new '17 F350 today.

Wow, I'm seriously impressed! I thought there is no way I'm going to be blow away, it is light years ahead of my old ram!

It was difficult finding a lighter optioned truck as I saw no need for a platinum or king ranch, as well as the 80k price tag too. My local dealer of all people gave me the best price and I got a XLT, crew cab long bed, diesel.

Now to order a super hitch and frame mounted tiedowns from torque lift!

The book still gives a truck like Vinsils an 11,500 gvw and a 2800-3000lb camper weight rating. Likely 3500-4000 payload, which are all soooo under rated it's not even funny. Nothing's magically changed in the numbers game.

One cool thing is one can order heavier front springs as an option on both 2 wd and 4wd models. Probably not unlike Sno plow packages but nice option nonetheless.

Yeah they're no joke. Will pull and haul all your stuff without breaking a sweat. I think Ford did a good job on the new body style too. Sharp lookin truck.
Did you notice more 350s for sale at the dealers than 250s? Kinda opposite of what we normally see with a bunch of 3/4tons and only a few 1 tons on the lots(all brands). Seems 4 or 5 new Suoer duties I see are F350s on the road. Wonder if Ferd is pushing the bigger pickups more.

What does the "yellow tag" say the payload capacity and GVW is of that F350?

Don't you have 3" receiver? Mine dually has.
Spend $30 for 3 feet of 3" tubing and that should do for light towing.
Dealers lot have high-priced units that have lot of unusable for me stuff.
My custom order dually Lariant come around $60k including >$2000 for 360 cameras that I love.
I skip the sunroof. 😉
When I was shopping for truck last winter, one of WA dealers had new trucks $10,000 below MSRP.
Modesto CA would sell $6k below MSRP.
