I have a second low profile tool box behind my hitch and when unhooking at the house we are renting for the next couple of years, it is quite an angle and I need to drop the truck as low as possible, so I use the Transport Mode.
Couple of years to retirement with my new Bride, then back to fulltiming across the country !!!

My RV rides level so for me just locking my truck in "Tire Jack Mode" works well.

BTW, 350 RW&B is a great station!!!

Less air in bags will give a better ride. May not be a big difference. Best thing is truck rides near level in alt ride empty or full RAWR.

When unhitching go to settings then suspension then hit tire jack mode. No need to turn it off when in hitched. Doing this keeps the truck solid and not try to compensate for weight being removed.

You can also add 3 full sized adults to bed hit alt ride it will stay activated.

They would have to be pretty heavy boys. The tongue weight on my boat is a touch over 500# and it's not heavy enough to reach the lower height.

I would guess 600# between the three.

Very cool. Run the bags in alt ride mode and run front and rear tires at the inflation MeAgain runs. This will give the best ride along with tread wear.

My truck don't change in in trailer mode when it's empty. Dash says there's not enough weight to achieve. The only way I can do it is put it in alt mode while hooked up and then unhook. I can't tell any difference in the ride either way when empty.

Yep, when unhooking the air bag system will try to compensate and adjust as the pin weight is lifted off the hitch.

I put mine in Transport Mode (dumps the air in the bags to obtain the lowest height) when unhitching.
When you drive over 5 mph the system automatically disables the Transport Mode so no problem with forgetting to change it back. (the system also disables Tire Change Mode or Alignment Mode when driven over 5 mph).

The modes on my system are Transport Mode, Alignment Mode and Tire Change Mode and Alt Height Mode for towing (manual says Alt Height Mode places the truck at approximately 1 degree front to rear angle)

The owners manual says the Tire Change mode locks the system at current height, the Transport Mode dumps the air bags for the lowest height for transporting and I am not sure what Alignment Mode actually does.

We looked at one of those yesterday, but decided we can't get all the items we want/need without going to a Laramie. Upon doing more research I find that with our 14K gvw 5th we will exceed the GCVWR of that truck. Oh well will keep looking.

Easy answer; dual rear wheels! The 14k GVWR will give you plenty of wiggle room.
Yip, I can figure that out for myself. Just making a comment about my situation as I see it. Thanks anyway.
