New TV

I just traded up to a 2014 Silverado 2500 with the Duramax. The truck is absolutely loaded. This is my first diesel vehicle so I'll have to get used to the size and power. Can't wait to hitch up the TT.

I'll post the pic as soon as it works.
  • You're gonna be AMAZED at the difference. Just remember, on wet roads with no load, it has so much torque the back end can quickly become the front end. And I don't know about Helmsey, but I have used diesels for the last 5 or so years and I still get the goofy grin every time I hook up. Enjoy!!!
  • Congrats! And remember, that goofy grin you get the first time you tow with it might take a couple days to go away :D
  • Congrats!
We just looked at a new 2015 3500hd today. Dealership was closed but my friend is a manager and we went through numbers yesterday so I wanted to get a look at it today. Took it for a drive and said yeah, let's do it. Absolutely loaded and love the fact I get to start over with four miles on the ticker. Will trade a 2012 3500hd identical but an lt instead. Lots of miles but still lots of life yet too.
And yeah, the exhaust brake is a great addition.
  • Congrats on your new TV. You're going to love the power of a diesel from the first time you tow with it. You'll love the exhaust brake when slowing down and on grades too.
  • We absolutely love ours! (see my signature below). FYI, check your owner's manual, but you will probably need to drive the first 500 miles before towing.

    Congrats and enjoy!
  • You'll love that Duramax/Allison combination. We purchased our '08 last December and it was amazing the power difference from our F350. You'll have a smile every time you pull knowing your trip will be a relaxing time. Congrats and have fun.
