news break! I did not get ripped off
We just spent 2 weeks in the NC mountains. While in Chimney Rock a window regulator broke on my f150 TV..with the window down.
It was the weekend so we made a temp repair with tape and plastic. I was not looking forward to 10 more days of flapping plastic and poor side vision.
Anyway, we landed in Franklin NC on Monday and I called D and L Body shop about 2:30. They were very nice and having never met me or seen the truck they had a part sent overnight and told me to come in the next day after 10:00. I decided to wait till noon. The next AM they called ( 9:30 ) and said the part was in. We showed up at 11:00 and took a walk to see the town and get lunch. Before we finished lunch they called and were done. The price was within a few dollars of what I paid my local shop to replace the other regulator a couple of years ago.
Just want to say there are honest people out there who will not take advantage of a guy when he is vulnerable. There is at least one in Franklin NC, D and L Body shop.
