I don't see see the tall cab being a problem but rather a benefit. WHen you look at slide in campers mounted on a flat bed, the flat bed sit ups higher than a typical pick up bed and the over cab portion of the camper ends up some distance above the cab. The new GM with taller cab seems like it would mitigate that some.
Typical new campers have 4' between the camper floor and cab over underside (mostly to accommodate Ford's taller cabs). I think most 4wd pick ups have have a 3' bed height, but overall cab height from the ground is a couple inches less than the chassis cabs. I would have less gap if I had a F550 verses my 5500. The Sport Chassis and Kodiak cabs were too tall for my Host.
