north idaho tc gathering aug 30 - sep 2 2013

where: Schweitzer Mountain Resort, Sandpoint Idaho.

when: August 30 - September 2 2013

what is going on:

up on the mountain they have a fall festival. it is a indeed a beer festival but it is set up to be very family oriented. they will have many beers to choose from, wines and ciders. there is also a kid zone with games and such going on. the trails on the mountain will be open for hiking and biking. the chair lift will be open for rides all day to the top of the mountain. additionally there are horse back rides and even a zip line that you can ride. the shops at the resort will all be open during this event.

I have arranged with the resort for them to set aside a small section in the parking lot for up to 5 tcs to park next to each other on Friday. after Friday its a first come first served parking. although for those staying you can always move over after the majority of people leave for the night. the parking is in a dirt parking lot just below the lodge. there are no hook ups but there is no fee to camp. we can even have a campfire as long as it is not a big ole bonfire.

i do not have any planned events for this gathering but if there are a few of us going we could always do a pot luck dinner if we like.

if you would like to go just let me know. if you would like one of the 5 spots set aside for us, you must arrive on Friday. please let me know so i can make sure you get one of those spots.

last year was so much fun. i cant wait for this years fall festival.

I was asked if there was a cover charge to enter the venue...no, it is free to enter and to camp. no cover charge to watch and listen to the bands.

also, the weather forecast improved...low to mid 80s Saturday and sunday. Monday mid 70s with 30% chance of rain.

the weather looks pretty good for the fall festival. high 70's with a slight chance of rain on saturday and sunday.

the feature band that will play at the festival is "the black lillies". they play on sunday at 430. there will be lots of other bands playing also.

you can do a simple web search to hear the music from them.

this event is coming right up, about a month away. let me know if you plan to attend.

just a reminder about this event. if you plan on coming to this event on Friday night please let me know. there are a couple of us going as of right now.
if you are a mountain biker be sure to bring your bike as there are a lot of trails to ride on the mountain.

there is a little interest in this gathering. it will not be a big planned event by me like the rallies. it will be a smaller gathering. it is a great time at this event, we had a blast last year. i have 3 spots that we can park next to eachother left out of 5. to get a spot you must arrive on friday.

i will post a bit more information on this at the end of july.
