Odyssey PC80 Battery for RV

Has anyone used an Odyssey PC80 Battery for their RV? I need a new battery and this was rated highly by someone rating RV batteries. It only weighs 15 lbs. THX

Umm.. No. It is NOT FOR TRAVEL TRAILER/5Vr/TC usage.

Found the Application guide, it is listing this battery for ATV/UTV usage.. HERE

Perhaps some folks have mixed up idea of term "RV" since it stands for RECREATIONAL VEHICLE which I guess you could say that a ATV/UTV is a "RECREATIONAL VEHICLE".. But is not something you would "camp" in.

At 15 lbs it is not going to have any real usage for say overnighting in a RV..

To put that into perspective, a group 24 12V "RV/MARINE" battery will weigh in around 65 lbs and give you about 70 Ahr of capacity..

Two 6V GC2 batteries will weigh about 130 lbs and give you 210 Ahr of capacity..

That 15 lb battery would be like using a small UPS battery and most likely no more than 20 Ahr..
  • Here is a link to the review. http://wheelarea.com/top-5-best-rv-battery-reviews/
  • I find a 680, but not an 80. Any lead battery weighing just 15lb would be grossly inadequate for most RV use. That sounds like a garden battery.
