Off Truck Camper Leveling

Hi,

We are all aware of keeping the front of the camper 4-6" higher than the rear when taking the camper off or putting it back on the truck.

My question is if it is OK to level the unit for camping use when it is on the ground. Even though I do like my head a bit above my feet, I would think you would have to level it in order for the fridge and other appliances to work properly.

I would say about an inch of two higher in the front than the back when off the truck. That amount is not going to make a hill of beans to the fridge. I would not make it level as it is no different than when loadking it on the truck. It is recommended to keep the front a couple of inches higher than the back it doesn't need to 4 to 6" higher and that can put quite a load on the rear jacks also.

You want the camper level whenever at rest, especially when running the fridge.
