OK, this is weird. Our TT is haunted?

Prepping our Arctic Fox for an upcoming trip, DW noticed the toilet is running. Water keeps coming out of the spray jet in the bowl. Not dripping, running.

Now the odd part is the pump is off. Confirmed and double checked. It is not hooked up to city water. The fresh tank is empty.

Where is the water coming from? It is not just the residual in the lines, it has been running for half an hour now.

🙂 Hi, free water; don't complain. This would be great for boondocking. :B

Siphoning from the water heater through the outside shower? If the valves are open, but the shower head is closed off.....

Solved???

Flushed system a couple times, finally got the toilet to stop running. So we are guessing a small piece of dirt or debris was holding the valve open.

Still do not know where the water was coming from. We are speculating it was somehow siphoning water from the water heater back through the cold water lines, as the hw tank is slightly higher than the toilet valve. The check valve should have prevented that, but maybe another piece of debris was holding it open also??? Unlikely, but that is the only thing we can come up with.

Anyway, everything works fine now.

Or maybe it was the garlic and crucifix we put in the trailer...

You need to get together with the person who posted not too long ago about how to find water when traveling. 🙂

"Then replace toilet water supply assembly"

x2

Even after you turn off the water pump, there is still residual pressure in the lines. The toilet supply assembly is the only place that is not a tight seal, indicating it needs to be replace, or at least checked for debris keeping a valve open.

Fun times ahead!
