My 89 Lnace 480 seems to be pulling out the right front tie down. Not just the tie down, but the edge of the whole floor. This is under both the propane compartment and the fridge compartment. It looks like I may have to replace the whole wing floor. I've searched, but only found rebuilds for the rear skirts. This camper may not be worth the trouble, but we like it and would like to use it for a few more years before upgrading. Anyone have experience doing this, or can point me to a write up to what me be involved? Thanks!

I had to find the framing on my 95 and contacted Lance, they sent me pages of the framing lay out for the entire camper, pretty cool. Might give that a try.

I had to find the framing on my 95 and contacted Lance, they sent me pages of the framing lay out for the entire camper, pretty cool. Might give that a try.

Those are actually called Skirts, the wings are the flooring on the sides.

A couple of years ago I embarked on a rebuild of an older Lance 9000. As mentioned in an earlier post Lance should be able to get you diagrams and such. The info they sent me even included a list of needed materials right down to size and length. Even though it didn't end up the way I hoped it would (weather got it before I could move it to Texas) it was a great experience and taught me a lot about camper construction. I had a similar problem with the tie-down. Had Lance fix it and paid the big bucks. Here's what it looked like after the side panels were removed. Looks like only 2 large staples held the vertical post to the horizontal part! :E

Interesting. I think this is what is happening to mine. I could probably at least repair that fairly easily without full replacement. The area under the propane compartment is fairly degraded though. I'm not excited to pull this thing apart.
