- ib516Explorer IISounds too high to me, but I have never owned a 6.0L diesel. My diesel doesn't run anywhere near that hot pulling 12k lbs.
- ryhedExplorerSounds like your oil cooler is about to take a chit.

IB: Thought you towed in Kg's North of the border, and measured temps using that centigrade thing........ :B:B:B - BedlamModeratorI see those water temps on my ScanGauge II when towing 11,500 lbs or carrying 4,000 lbs and towing 7500 lbs behind me through the mountains on 70+ degree days in my 2005 F250. Most of the time I am between 190-200 degrees. Transmission temp is usually 30 degrees cooler than my coolant. I think you are running hotter than normal.
- rhagfoExplorer IIISounds high to me also, I very seldom see much above 190 to 195 pulling 11K.
- kirbybearExplorerF350 6.0 towing 14,500#. Up grades will see 218 and then I will hear the fan ( running 1600 to 2800 RPM ). OIL at 12 to 18 degrees higher. On flats at 80 degrees ambient, usually 195 to 205 with same oil delta. Has shown the same for 118,000 miles.
- HalmfamilyExplorerHave your fan clutch checked. Both my ECT and EOT were running higher than normal. Fan would come on but not long enough. Turned out to back a bad fan clutch. $700 later and all is good. Travel on.
