So I was able to go for a nice test tow this morning, about 40km's or so of mixed 80km/h rural two lane road and 100km/h 4 lane highway - its raining and quite windy out today so a good test.
Here's my first impressions:
1.Truck gets up to speed much more effortlessly than the last one, the 3.55 gears are to thank I'm sure
2.This truck does not have airbags, it sags less than 1 inch hooked up and the truck rides extremely well while towing, I'm very impressed.
3.the new integrated TBC seems to allow the 5er to have more brakes, I can actually adjust it to feel some tug when I get on the brakes - not the case with the last truck.
4.Mirrors are very good, the convex section below is huge and allows me to see the trucks rear wheels and also the RV's wheels and tires.
Thing's I did not get to try yet but will on the weekend on my way to Fundy national park:
1.climbing a grade
2.going down a grade and using the EB
3.fuel economy
Overall I though the last truck was great TV and this one is simply improved o all fronts.
