Choosing right equipment is always dilemma.
5500 series trucks were the first in the serie design for heavy cargo hauling from what I remember from the past. All below that had rear axle 1/2 way of the bed, so more grocery getter than hauler.
Crew cab is nice for cargo, but I ordered supercab for 1 foot less of length.
We travel with 3 dogs only, but lately at TH gathering my sons (and their fiance) fit fine on rear seats.
Will the extra foot in length/turning backfire ? All depends where you drive.
Still new technology is amazing and scary. My new truck talks to Ford headquarters behind my back - delivering me monthly health reports.
