Can't do dual tanks on the Lariat F550. I've tried multiple times and even though the Ford site lists it, I keep being told it's a replacement not an addition. I will have an aux tank in the service body though...
Right now can only get the 12k hitch on the F550 because Torklift's approach is for customers to bring their vehicle up to Washington to be the test platform for certification. That's too far for me to travel for maybe a couple hundred bucks off the gear from them to do it. So it doesn't make much sense to upgrade the towing at this point.
Why would I need a heavier front suspension? I'm not planning to have any type of front receiver put on at this point. Did I miss something :) If I need to upgrade the springs later, that's not really hard to do.
