Our TT made it to Alaska and back, what to do now?

We have a 22' Crossroads Sunset Trail with delamination issues on the front cap. We decided to have the roof resealed, everything checked out, and tow it to Alaska. We agreed that if it had major problems along the way we would scrap it, rent a U-Haul and come home. Surprise, surprise! This little TT performed like a champ. We did not hesitate to tow it wherever we wanted to go but did not, of course, abuse it. Almost 15,000 miles later everything still works and the interior is intact. We didn't even have the dust issues that some other RV's had. Now what? I really thought it would be in such bad shape that we would need to get rid of it but it isn't. What can we expect from the delamination, cracking, peeling,?The estimates from getting it fixed are pretty daunting. Have any of you had this problem? lizzie

Thanks for the input. We feel pretty confident that the leaks have been resolved and we don't seem to have any interior damage. We will keep using it until we have an issue or we find another TT we like as much. lizzie

Along with input from members that have had delam issue do a google and youtube on the subject. I did a quickie and looked to be dozens of videos on the subject of how to fix or how someone fixed their problem.

Much has to do with fixing a water leak or other reasons it delaminated.

Without seeing the delam area and poking here and there looking for structure issue we can only speculate. I would get more than one professional opinion or estimate.

If the delamination problem is not extensive and just cosmetic now that you have the source of the leak fixed, you can leave it alone. We had some bad delamination on our last motorhome but there wasn't any structural damage. We used some plastic nuts and bolts on one section near the wheel well where we could access the back of the panel to pull it back together but the rest we left it as it was. We drove it for 200,000 more miles, sold it and as far as I know it's still on the road.

If it held up to that trip, just continue using it until it eventually dies, which from the sound of it, will be a long time.
