Outdoor Kitchen Door
Hello All,
We recently purchased a new Outback travel trailer and pretty much hit the road right away for 2 weeks. So far we love it but I am curious to hear thoughts about an issue. During our inspection (when picking up the trailer) we and the techs noticed the outdoor kitchen door was warped and not closing correctly. The dealer ordered another one right away which I am scheduled to have installed, but the techs guess as to what happened was water. He said that the factory often does not drill enough drain holes in the bottom of the door (there are 3). That made me curious as to why water would even get in the door at all but he made it sound like it was a known issue and if drained properly it is fine. We looked close and there is no water issues in the kitchen itself, only in the door. The extra weight of the door then caused the mount for the strut to rip out of the wall while using it so that's another fix needed.
I am just curious if anyone is aware of this issue with other outdoor kitchens and if I should actually be drilling some more drain holes to avoid this happening again??
Thanks
