overnight parking help South Lyon MI

Dear forum friends. We have family in South Lyon MI, living in a cul-de-sac. With our Lance 835 on our 96 chevy we have no problem parking and or sleeping in their driveway. However, as we age, we have discussed going to a short travel trailer (21-23ft range)... several reasons one is easier to hook up TT than load TC, at least for me it is - having done both innumerable times; secondly is sleeping, as we age it gets harder and harder to climb up into overcab bed on TC. TC is so convenient in so many ways ... but in some ways convenience is countered by other factors. That said, a major problem of going to TT is inconvenience when just showing up at home of family or friend. For our family in downtown Pittsburgh for example there is still a superwalmart just 5 miles away that allows us to unhook our TT and leave it there (at own risk - but we did that 4 or 5 years ago for 2 nights with no issue whatsoever. However, in the South Lyon area of MI the Superwalmarts do not allow overnight RVing let alone disconnecting TT. And there are no Pilot Flying Js within reasonable distance (at least 45 min out) and the nearest Cracker Barrel is 20 min or so - and I don't know if Cracker Barrel would permit "dumping" the TT so that we could drive to visit family. ... There is a General RV Dealership within 15 minutes I may call them to see if they have overnight parking dry camping like some of the Camping Worlds. So, does anyone know this area and have any other options. My only other thought is that as a clergy of the UMC I may check with UMCs in that area to see if they would be allowed and willing to let us dump a TT in their parking lot. Any other ideas would be appreciated. For now, we have the Lance TC to fall back on, but other options could open up options ... One thing we did look at was a RoadTrek Popular 190 Class B .. which solves both the connecting up problems - just get in and go; and the parking sleeping - it is just a van in disguise! However, the issue with the RoadTrek is this- where do you carry any clothing and other gear and food - there is like no storage in them.

Churches are probably best bet.
But I'm think if you just must drive, stay in a hotel on the road and when visiting.
I may be a bit different than most on a RV forum, but an RV is not the absolute answer to all travel issues.
