Payload sticker

Curious as to why the maximum payload on my truck's door 3933 is exactly 600lbs more than the sticker in the glove box which has a camper rating of 3333.... Not a big deal as I'm well under both numbers just curious. Brand new Silverado 3500HD.

I think the driver is a given so it's only the weight of five seats. Further, they may not be counting the front middle position.
In the end neither sticker matters much. You can have more or less people, more or less camper, etc. Just make sure you don't go over tire and axle ratings.

Yeah except it is 600 pounds. There are 6 seats so @ 150lbs that should be 900 and it's not. Skinny people???

So GM subtracts the weight of a load of passengers from the overall rating to get the glove box rating.
Makes sense.

Hi tonymull

We own a 2011 Silverado 3500HD and yes the camper rating sticker in our glove box also states a lower rating. You may find this article helpful:
