Please help... ? About rear custom fiberglass bumper for TC

Ok guys, bear with me. I have a 1999 Ford triton V 10 dually that has a custom rear bumper that my father in law had made to accommodate his TC back in 99. Obviously I have inherited the truck and the bumper needs replacing. It is cracked and falling off the truck. It really isn't a bumper but a bumper plate made of fiberglass. It is flat against the truck and does not stick out at all. I assume it was made to give more room for a TC to fit flat against the rear of the truck, as the father in law had a huge...long camper. I am looking for a pic to show you, but was hoping that someone would know what I was talking about from this vague description. Regardless the fiberglass is cracked pretty severely and I need to replace. Can't find a darn thing online. Anyone know anything about this? ( will post w pic ASAP)
  • Thanks everyone. The bumper plate on my truck is indeed a roll pan. Father In Law had it put on to allow his TC to butt up against the truck since it was so long. I too have a pretty long camper and the center of gravity is pretty far back. So I think I need to keep a roll pan on the truck. I am ordering a new one today. The old one is close to falling off.
  • agree sounds like "roll pan", your favorite search engine would yield lots of options. Unless the install of yours precludes might replace with factory bumper?

Depends how what you have was mounted/ mods to truck but 'custom ones available that might match.
    1st one that popped up
    roll pan @parts geek
  • Sounds like a rolled rear pan. You should be able to buy a new one.
  • I would like a rear bumper made out of a long aluminum diamond tool box and lift lids. Could serve as small rear step/ porch.
  • That is a rear roll pan that was installed after removing the bumper.
