Plugged in but draining battery. In the dark! Help!

Thanks for the reply! I'm sure either is an option! It's a dark and stormy night here so I have time to read up and we will look at it in the morning.

It was sold As Is of course so I'm trying not to freak out. I'm hoping its operator error. Husband literally towed it home, plugged it in, and went to work. No time to really check it out.
