Hi All-

I am unable to open my rear door all the way since the power jack in the way –

Has anybody else had this problem and how did they fix(reposition the jack) to allow the rear door to open all the way? is it possible to rotate the jack 90 degrees?

I ended up rotating 180 degrees. LOL my gas cover the propane would not go on!!! Also when looking at the lift head, there are not 90 degree offsets - meaning there are only two position for the head. Dealer said will tap new ones in....

He must have a barn door sub. Ours clears the power jack with no problems.

The head can be rotated, the whole unit can be rotated, or you can get a longer hitch drawbar. All three will work just fine.

I had to rotate mine for the tailgate to come down. Not a big deal.

Typical trailer jack is mounted with 3 bolts in a flange at the "crotch" of the trailer tongue.

Relocating the jack... Is there even room? Usually there is a battery box and two propane tanks on the tongue, packed in between the jack and the front of the camper.

Seems like a strange place for a rear door.

My old TT had a Barker 3500 that had set screws to hold the head to the tube. I just loosened the set screws and rotated the head 180°.

Even if you can move it back, you would need welding skills to put in a new flange mount further back.

You can rotate it 120 degrees. Don't know if that will help. If it's a matter of a fraction of an inch, it should work out.

yes - hook up the trailer (so it's supported), remove the mounting bolts and rotate the jack. Had to do it on my toyhauler, and now I have about 2" clearance on the tailgate of the truck.
