I have never backed out of the throttle because of temperature; I’ve been running it that way since 1999.
This is a nice reliable upgrade on the 24V ISB. I had this on my 98.5, Just keep checking your lift pump pressure every oil change so you know when it goes out, before it cost you a VE pump.
