Preparations for putting diesel pusher back on the road

Looking for suggestions, recommendations for putting a diesel pusher back on the road after being apart for three years. Going to put new tires on as they are outdated. New batteries, changing out oil and filters. If there is anything you can recommend before getting on the road to avoid problems on the road it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
  • The air dryer needs to be serviced - who knows when the last time it was done before it was parked. Owners often overlook the air dryer.

Check the oil in the front hubs and the rear end.

  • Any type of break pad tends to stick if not used for that long. Bleed the breaks, as the fluid absorbs water if it sits for long time in any type of humidity
  • Your biggest problem will be the air brakes if it has them. They dont like to sit and you may find they are stouck hard. If so, they will need professional attention.
  • You might get more responses by posting in the Class A Motorhomes section.
  • Depending on the chassis, I would use one of the annual service checklists and go through all of the systems, air brakes & suspension, axle and trans lube and fluids, etc. Freightliner has annual lists - 1, 2 & 3 years, you can download from their web page.
  • yep do the filters and some how pump some fresh fuel threw the system. and put some around town miles on it before a long run,
  • How far down was it tore down? Fuel comes to mind, might be worthwhile to filter or replace. Fuel filters, too.
