Price on a used trailer at dealer?

When I bought my new to me TT I found it on a dealers lot for 16k we loved everything about the trailer but the price. I came home and hit craigslist found the same exact TT same year even the only difference was the fabric color. He was asking 12k I offered 9k and we settled on 9500k. In all fairness I never tried negotiating a deal with dealer but I doubt he would have went down 6500k.
