We replaced the dead fans in the middle of the camper with an AC unit, it was pre-wired we found when removing it, and the one in the bathroom was much like yours so that spot got a Fantastic fan and weather cover so we could use it in rainy weather. The mattress was another deal. Needed one in a hurry as we were heading out on trial run soon as we got tiedowns installed and loaded, wired truck, at our son-in-law's place in Grand Junction. Trip to local camper places dry holes but furniture store there had an innerspring futon mattress that fit the space perfectly as its not a double, not a queen short or long. Just measured space and took tape measure shopping Added a 2" memory foam topper and is comfy. The one shown in comments would have been the best option if we'd had the time. Not expensive either. That may be more comfort than you require but necessary for us old farts. Potty nice for night nature calls and emergencies, fixed up but haven't tried shower yet. Since we have tiny wet bath (envy you yours) I added some ceiling track and heavy thick house privacy curtain to make a cozy and private changing space that can be heated if necessary (just have to remember to lock the camper door LOL). These Oldie but goodie campers are fun since you're not going to hurt them much with rennos. Long as no rot or leaks thumbs up! Enjoy
