Question about my Zinger's plug.

Mrp116, how come? Just going to stop for a few trinkits. No repairs there. After Tenn I'm going to reroute to Lakewood NJ where my unit came from to get some warranty work done. Then I'll pick her up around April. Is that a bad place or what?
I do have friends in the area, kinda. Greenville off Cold Springs road.

As a rule, I avoid ALL fast food parking lots which do not have adjacent parking such as a mall, grocery or other other non food stores.

We then WALK to the restaurant.

Even truckers unless they are delivering to the restaurant will do the same thing.

Fast food joints cater to the drive through with no real regard to large vehicles or well planned parking so they often will have extremely tight turns and very small parking lots.

Just as a thought, many years ago we "kicked" the fast food "habits" years ago when we started RVing.

Instead we find a nice parking lot and fix ourselves a lunch or supper in our trailer. Often just simple cold cut sandwiches and chips or if we wanted to get fancy I simply plug the trailer shore cord into my gen that I carry in the back of my truck to run the microwave. After all you do have a complete kitchen on wheels and its a whole lot faster and cheaper than the purported fast food joints..

I always tell everyone that fast food joints are neither "fast" or real food... not to mention cheap...

My DW likes McDonald's coffee, so I bought the entrance sign,2 new tires' a wheel and a fender. This happened in Garden Springs, Kansas a few years ago. The Owner of Mc's was a class act. Helped me out getting tires and installing wheels etc.

Unless you are going to be in the area visiting friends, I recommend skipping the CW in Hollins.

Good deal!

What I do with my cord is use bungies to tie up any extra, basically a bungie placed as close to the hitch head on the "A" frame and use that to hold the cord on the top of the hitch (think, top of "A" frame). This allows the cord to move freely and not snag or get caught in any of the hitch part..

Congratulations! I was thinking that some kind of spring arrangement like the 18 wheelers use would be good for holding excess cable. Of course your problem was caused by the tongue contacting the plug, which is the result of a short hitch shank. My hitch shank was 17.75 inches (extra long) and I cut it down to 13.75" (standard length). While the extra long shank would give me more jack knife range, it also increased the leverage the tongue weight had on my suspension.
Hopefully I'll never get in a bind like you did.

Excellent reply and great advice. I will be doing just that more often. With our trip to Tenn. just 10 days away, I will be making some stops to visit friends and the Camping World in Hollins, Va (?) At these places we will ' dine ' like true RVer's!!

Well, they can be fast and sometimes cheap. But, the food is so bad for you that the pills and insulin you end up on after for health is shot doesn't make it cheap in the end.
