Question for Glowstep owners

I installed a set of the Glowsteps last season along with a few other folks. I left them extended over the winter and when I went to collapse them for our first trip out in April, they were so dang tight I could barely budge them.

Has anyone else had this problem? I seem to recall someone getting some upgraded washers and/or bolts from Torklift. Am wondering if some dry lube will help or will backing off the nylock nuts work or both.

    Mine are getting stiffer as well. Debated on a dry lube or the bolt loosening. Be advised, do VERY little on the bolt loosening. One member went to far and they extended very fast on him...

    They should still be under warranty...why not give them a call for their suggestions?


    X2. Mine have only been installed for a few weeks so I haven't experienced this.

    Probably swelled a bit, eh? I have read where others have loosened the bracket bolts to get everything moving right. Some lube isn't going to hurt anything so that might be the easy answer.
